VINEYARDS - YIELDS
Selection of small plots, from Rioja Alta and Rioja Alavesa.
Low yields in old vines harvested by hand.


CROP
The 2018 vintage was developed in a wet year with abundant
rainfall in winter and spring, creating water reserves
optimal to ensure a favorable vegetative cycle in the face of a summer that turned out
hot and dry.


FLOORS
Mostly clayey-calcareous. Rioja Alta plots with ferrous subsoil and more
limestone in Rioja Alavesa.
VINTAGE
Totally manual, prioritizing the harvest order based on maturation
of each selection or zone of each town.


VINIFICATION
The clusters are carefully destemmed to proceed to alcoholic fermentation
in stainless steel tanks and at controlled temperature. The maceration with
skins is prolonged up to 20 days in order to extract color, aromas and density in
mouth. The malolactic fermentation is completed between the new barrel and the storage tank.

TOTAL STAY IN BARREL
12 months in French (60%) and American (40%) oak barrels. The barrels are
distributed between 25% new oak, 25% with passage of two wines, and the other 50%

REFINED IN BOTTLE
1 year minimum of bottle rack in Cellar before its launch.


TASTING NOTE
Nice cape with luminous sparkles. Nose of fine notes of toasted wood and
spices, which are set with a candied red fruit on a licorice background. in mouth
highlights a wide sensation of volume, with a background of ripe fruit and some
soft and elegant tannins. Long and silky tasting finish.
